Growing up in Melbourne’s south-east, electrical work was always part of our lives. Our dad was an electrician, and from a young age, weekends and school holidays often meant tagging along to jobs, helping where we could, and cleaning out the work van when he got home.

As we got older, so did our involvement. What started with small jobs around the van gradually became helping with invoices, emails, quoting and the day-to-day running of the business. Without really knowing it at the time, we were learning both sides of the trade, not only how good electrical work should be done, but how a good business should look after its customers.

We eventually followed our own professional paths. Adrian studied law and became a lawyer, while Joe studied commerce. At the same time, we both undertook our electrical apprenticeships and continued working alongside our dad, learning from the experience and standards he had built over decades in the trade.

Carden is the next chapter of that story.

It brings together everything we grew up around, our electrical experience, our professional backgrounds and, most importantly, the values our dad taught us about doing things properly, looking after people and taking pride in your work.

Today, we’re building Carden together with the same approach: reliable workmanship, genuine relationships and electrical solutions our clients can depend on.

For us, electrical isn’t simply the industry we chose. It’s the business we grew up in.
